The Chrysalids criticizes various stereotypes in the way the people live and are born in the novel. It criticizes intolerance, and resistance for changing in society. It shows resistance to change because the Waknuk people won’t accept the slhtly deviated horses, when there isn’t actually something wrong with them, they are simply larger than normal horses.
